Karl Elsener established Victorinox, in 1891, in Ibach, Switzerland. He was the inventor of the famous Swiss Army Knife. He used the cross and shield of the Swiss military and his mother’s name as his trademark. The luggage that is manufactured by this company bares the cross and shield emblem. The Victorinox Werks Traveler Hardside 22” Wheeled Carry-On Travel Case is, one of many fine pieces of luggage, produced by this company.
Features and Benefits for the Traveler
The color choice, that is available for this traveler hardside, is red or black. It is 22” high, 14” wide, and 9 inches deep.
The Victorinox Werks Traveler Hardside 22” Wheeled Carry-On Travel Case is made from polycarbonate. The handle is made from aircraft-grade aluminum. It is constructed with a patented, 360 degree, curved monopole handle system that reduces the weight of the bag. To reduce arm and wrist stress, it incorporates an ultra-soft Geluxe Comfort Grip and ergonomic thumbprint, which allows it to rotate and lock into natural position.
The main compartment has lots of space and features a hanging mesh pocket with a zipper closure. For custom packing, there is a removable mesh divider with a zippered pocket. This mesh can snap in place on either side of the bag. To keep items securely in position there are y-shaped compression straps in both the main compartment and in the lid.
For security, this case has a Travel Security Approved lock system, which allows U.S. TSA inspectors to open and re-lock without causing any lock damage. For security and convenience, an ID tray slides into the handle bezel.
Our Take
Travelers that are looking for durability and security of a hard case will appreciate this carry-on. There is enough room for a few days travel. If larger luggage is needed, other sizes of the Victorinox luggage are available.
